About

About Jessica
Jessica is a Site Coordinator for Rome Connected Schools where she also acts as our Central Hub coordinator. As she says, “I wear a few hats!” She comes from an education/social services background, making her great at shifting to meet whatever challenge comes along. Outside of work, Jessica spends most of her time reading, not finishing crafting projects, and driving her kids around – not at the same time, of course!

Highlights
We have carried out an enormously popular Teacher Appreciation supply giveaway. We have successfully connected families with insurance, housing, and food security. We have given away over 1.2 million pounds of food and supplies, and successfully partnered with community partners to make sure all of our families have what they need. From house fires to mental health needs, pandemic stress to family strife, we are here to make sure our students have been able to get through this tumultuous school year happy, healthy, fed and clothed.”

Jessica’s Favorite CCS Moments
“The camaraderie of the food giveaways really taught me the team at CCS can be trusted and relied on. The moments where it becomes evident that school staff and faculty have learned that I can be relied upon, that the promise of Community Schools is real, are some of the most fulfilling moments of my professional life.”

About Maria
Maria is a young-at-heart Site Coordinator who comes to us from the care management side of CNY Health Home Network, where she started as an intake care manager in September of 2019. By October, she realized that this was not just a job, but her career path. Helping families face their challenges and be a support was something she found a true love for. Her love for the job brought her to the CCS team in February of 2021. Separate from her career, Maria is a proud cat mom of her two boys, Primo and Junior, an avid reader, and all things nerdy. She is a 6-time campaign player of Dungeons and Dragons, Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings enthusiast, and she loves to go to the Renaissance Fair in Sterling NY every summer. She also enjoys cooking, painting, traveling, doing events and charity runs like the Color Run, and spending time with her loved ones.

Maria’s Favorite CCS Moment
“One of the biggest successes and my favorite event while working with CCS was when Katie (Dolgeville) and I received donated prom dresses to give to students attending prom and did free hair and makeup. Helping the students get ready for a fun filled night during an already stressful year of the pandemic, it was wonderful and such a great testimony to how far we will go to help others.”
