Connected Community Schools is once again bringing holiday cheer to children and teens in need through its Connect-A-Kid Holiday Assistance Initiative. In partnership with Oneida County and numerous community organizations, this program collects and distributes essential items and gifts to ensure local students and families feel supported during what can be a challenging time of year.
“Our team, alongside the community, is honored to create this opportunity each year,” said Danielle Martin, Co-Executive Director of Connected Community Schools. “The gratitude we witness is truly humbling and a reminder of the impact we can make when we work together.”
Connected Community Schools serves districts across Central New York—including Adirondack, Canastota, Camden, Central Valley, Dolgeville, Herkimer, Holland Patent, Madison, Mt. Markham, New Hartford, Rome, Waterville, and Sherburne-Earlville—ensuring students and families have access to resources, services, and support right within their schools.
Community members LIKE YOU are pivotal in the success of this event. Community members donate toys every year at local businesses to ensure children have gifts to open at the holidays.
