Items are assembled Monday for a food pantry at Staley Elementary School through the Connected Community Schools (CCS) program. The pantry was relocated from Bellamy Elementary School for enhanced accessibility by people, said CCS Executive Director Melissa Roys. CCS also has a food pantry at Gansevoort, and hopes to have the pantries operating by Wednesday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., she added. Two food distribution programs involving Rome school district sites are being established this week in reaction to the COVID-19/coronavirus situation
